The talented forward, who currently plays for Everton, previously had a successful loan spell with Preston North End during the 2022-23 season. During his previous stint with Preston, Cannon showcased his skills and made a significant impact on the team. He made a total of 19 appearances, where he displayed his sharp attacking abilities. Throughout the season, Cannon was able to find the back of the net on eight occasions, along with providing one assist to his teammates. His goal-scoring prowess and knack for creating opportunities on the field played a crucial role in Preston's success during that season. Cannon's impressive performances helped the team secure important victories and climb up the Championship table. As a striker, Cannon possesses great speed, agility, and technical ability, making him a constant threat to

What would Denzel Dumfries bring to Everton?

Dumfries is a 25 year old right back, who currently plays his football for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league, has had interest from director of football Marcel Brands. Everton are still searching for a new manager, yet the Dutchman is continually linked. Names such as Nuno Espirito Santo and Eddie Howe have been thrown around, as have Christophe Galtier, however, whoever the new manager is needs to add a right back. Should Galtier arrive from Lille, the Zeki Celik links would once again arise as they did in January of 2020 and 2021. Dumfries is a raw, attacking fullback, similar to Seamus Coleman. He would add a different option to Everton’s defence and would be a substantial upgrade on the Irishman. Dumfries’ versatility is also needed to be taken into consideration. He has played as a right back, left back, central defender and even as a winger for PSV, this is the type of player that we need and should be trying to sign.

My view on the vacant manager situation

So after Carlo Ancelotti’s swift departure to Real Madrid, the hierarchy at Everton are left with a huge dilemma. Who should be the man to follow him on?   Personally, I would like one of Antonio Conte, Nuno Espirito Santo or Erik Ten Hag to replace the Italian. Obviously, the departure of Ancelotti shocked the club, and I believe that Farhad Moshiri would be looking at another “Hollywood manager” to bring it. At the time of writing, Antonio Conte is in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur, but Nuno opened talks with us today. Some members of the board would embrace the return of David Moyes, however I don’t think that is likely.  In my opinion, Ten Hag would be the perfect replacement. The only possible issue that I could see with his appointment would be that he is coming from the Dutch league, and as saw with Frank De Boer, this is not always a success. I do think that Nuno will get the job. He would receive my backing, and I’d like to believe he could take us to the European confe
Everton fans had high hopes at the beginning of the 20/21 campaign, with the introduction of World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez, the standards of the season for many Everton fans were raised substantially. The biggest focus of the 2020 summer transfer window was the midfield, after unwatchable performances during the 19/20 season, and horrific midfield displays, it was clear that we needed an upgrade. On Everton’s radar was, former Watford player Abdoulaye Doucoure, who’d impressed whilst playing against Everton across multiple games, his attacking drive & defensive attributes were perfect for the Toffees. Allan Marques was another on the radar, the Brazilian international had experience under Carlo Ancelotti and also Champions League experience, after Carlo’s sacking at Napoli, Allan was a player Ancelotti made sure he brought to Everton. The season began and in an instant it was clear the season was everything but ordinary, results you’d never expect, underdogs taking d

Summer transfer update.

According to the Telegraph, Carlo Ancelotti has told the players who do not want to be at the club that they can leave in the summer. Carlo Ancelotti only wants players who “are committed” and are “willing to put everything on the line” for the team. He also confirmed that Everton will sign a winger in this summer window, perhaps a Leon Bailey or Moussa Diaby will come to Everton. So, who do you think the players that Carlo is referring to?

Everton: Sell, or keep?

Image
Jordan Pickford- Keep. I’d keep Jordan Pickford, he’s shown that he is capable of being our number one countless times this season.  Robin Olsen- Sell. I wouldn’t keep Robin Olsen, I don’t think he is very reliable and is not good enough. A good back up, but not a good first team player.  Joao Virginia- Keep. No brainier here, I’d keep Joao Virginia at Everton. Perhaps a loan move is on the cards for him. He performed well in the games he played this season, but I think he needs a loan move.  Seamus Coleman- Keep. The club captain, he will stay for another season but as a backup option I think. A right back is a must in the summer for Everton.  Jonjoe Kenny- Sell. Kenny is not good enough. He never has been and never will be, one of the worst players I have saw play for us as a right back, Cuco Martina is a better right back than Kenny! Sell for as much as possible  Michael Keane- Keep. Keane is a solid backup, but I think our best partnership is Mina and Godfrey. I’d expect    Keane t

Ancelotti on Aston Villa draw

I thought we came out the blocks really slowly. Struggled to get a foot on the ball, but partly of that is Carlo’s tactics from not wanting to have the same start we had a Goodison Park. The first 30 half an hour was slow and we were struggling to string two passes together.  Tyrone Mings should have scored from close range. After the half hour mark Everton began to get their foot on the ball and keep possession much better. A few half chances along the way.  But coming out for the second half we were excellent and it was obvious that Carlo had got into them at half time. We were commiting more bodies forward and creating more chances. With 25 minutes to go Jack Grealish came on for Aston Villa as the home side looked for the opener.  Both sides huffed and puffed with any real quality until the chance of the night arrived to Dominic Calvert-Lewin forcing Emi Martinez into a good save at his near post after a peach of a ball in from Lucas Digne.  Aston Villa should have been reduced to
