Adrien Rabiot update.

Reports in Italy cited by Sport Witness suggest that Everton have made an offer for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The report states that Everton’s interest for the french international hasn’t faded, and that there is concrete interest in the former PSG star. They say that an offer will arrive in the coming months, Rabiot wants a wage of £6 million per year. However, Everton may be rivalled to the signing of Rabiot by Manchester United, who could potentially be offered Rabiot in a cash + swap deal involving both Paul Pogba and Rabiot.

What would Denzel Dumfries bring to Everton?

Dumfries is a 25 year old right back, who currently plays his football for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league, has had interest from director of football Marcel Brands. Everton are still searching for a new manager, yet the Dutchman is continually linked. Names such as Nuno Espirito Santo and Eddie Howe have been thrown around, as have Christophe Galtier, however, whoever the new manager is needs to add a right back. Should Galtier arrive from Lille, the Zeki Celik links would once again arise as they did in January of 2020 and 2021. Dumfries is a raw, attacking fullback, similar to Seamus Coleman. He would add a different option to Everton’s defence and would be a substantial upgrade on the Irishman. Dumfries’ versatility is also needed to be taken into consideration. He has played as a right back, left back, central defender and even as a winger for PSV, this is the type of player that we need and should be trying to sign.

Ancelotti on Aston Villa draw

I thought we came out the blocks really slowly. Struggled to get a foot on the ball, but partly of that is Carlo’s tactics from not wanting to have the same start we had a Goodison Park. The first 30 half an hour was slow and we were struggling to string two passes together.  Tyrone Mings should have scored from close range. After the half hour mark Everton began to get their foot on the ball and keep possession much better. A few half chances along the way.  But coming out for the second half we were excellent and it was obvious that Carlo had got into them at half time. We were commiting more bodies forward and creating more chances.
